ETL Administrator

ETL Administrator Farmington Hills, MI   Job Description:  The ETL Administrator position focuses on ETL administration, design, maintenance, setting up standards and operations support. Responsible for implementing advanced ETL methodologies for corporate wide – ETL solution using Informatica Power Center, Data Quality & Big data Management versions. The administrator will work with the ETL developers and Infrastructure team to implement best practices, standards, troubleshooting issues and performance tuning. The Admin should recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Additional responsibilities may include interpretation and transformation of information based on business requirements and conducting detailed research of vendor products and assists with general project management.  Working knowledge in Installation, Configuration and Upgrade of Informatica Services Platform Set up Highly Available Power Center Enterprise domain and configuring services to run on GRID Manage roles and users on folder, relational connections, back-end server etc Assist with design and implementation of Informatica suite of tools. Develop solutions to leverage ETL tools and suggest process improvements. Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned ETL flows and their Client applications. Collaborate with ETL developers and resolve application related issues. Research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality. Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and may perform code review for others Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues. Validate the data in the database and also responsible for testing the routines developed. Lead user sessions for requirements gathering and testing. Assists in requirements gathering and creates system and user documentation, technical solution documentation etc. Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs functional testing of the tool Assist developers with problems and resolves issues independently Minimum 8+ Years Experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Must have experience with the administration of the following ETL Tools: a) Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange b) Informatica MetaData Manager / Informatica Analyst c) Informatica Data Validation Option d) Informatica Change Data Capture  Nice to have experience: a) Informatica Pro-Active monitoring b) Informatica Data Masking c) Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog d) Informatica Axon e) Hadoop kerberized environment  High level of proficiency in advanced query development and design. Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems  Additional Skills: Must have experience with the administration of the following ETL Tools:a) Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange) Informatica MetaData Manager / Informatica Analystc) Informatica Data Validation Optiond) Informatica Change Data Capture.
